Sunrise over the large praying wheel. After the Leaping Tiger Gorge, I took the bus to my final destination before going back to Hong-Kong: Shangri-La. Yes, the name is corny! It was changed from Zhōngdiàn to make it more appealing for tourists. The old city features this temple and the “largest praying wheel in the world”. It’s over 21m high and around 60 tons, and around 10 persons are needed to start spinning it. After the day of my arrival, I woke up early to see the sunrise on the chicken temple, above the city.
