Sunset over D-18, Beatty, Nye county, Nevada. This Beech D-18 has become a landmark of Beatty, a small town on the edge of Death Valley and next to Yucca mountain. The town itself isn’t much: a couple of houses and hotels along the main road, amongst which you can get the nicest Chili con Carne ever. The plane crashed 37 years ago during a promotional event for a brothel around there. It crashed next to an other brothel, and as the visits went up, the owner never felt the need to remove it.
