In the Dumesnil brewery, Ivry, France. So last week end, we visited the remains of the Dumesnil brewery. While a prominent brewery in Paris in the beginning of the 20th century, it closed in the late seventies. Now, all the buildings on the surface have been demolished, and only the subterranean parts still exist, hidden from most, but opened times to times by a bunch of passionated guy. The latter actually organized an event with our friends from Bièrocratie so we could visit it. The picture shows one of the many fermenting tuns that was left underground. From what is known of this brewery, it seems the beer that came from there was more a day to day beer, nothing too fancy.
