A sunrise on top of Emeishan. China. After my 10 hours climb the day before, I woke up early that day, as the other guys in the dorm thought it was time to go. At 5AM, I was back on my trip to the top. Halfway there, I stumbled upon a group of Chinese that I’ve already met, and finally got invited to their table at a small food stand. The night was still dark and cold, so those spicy noodles ended up being the best breakfast of my time in China. we then returned to our ascension, and reached the top more than an hour before the sun rise. After a long wait in the cold, a timid sun finally appeared, warming my freezing fingers.
