An everyday life's Odyssey

By the bonfire. Tired of the long road that goes from Key Largo to Florida City, we decide to stay to one of the closest places to the Everglades we could. Less than a mile from route 1, on the way to the national park, our youth hostel welcomes us. Yes! We are “the couple arriving from Key West that calls earlier, and no, don’t worry if you forgot our names (even if you made me spell it twice)”! The place reminds us from the one we went to in Venice Beach: cool hippie atmosphere. Or what we imagine “hippie” would be: open, friendly, trustworthy and a pinch of “whatever-ain’t-that-bad-anyway”. By the time we get back from getting food and drinks, the fire is cracking. We seat down, it warms us as the night falls. And I can’t help but playing with my stupid sunglasses.
