In the garden of the Confucian Temple Lingxing Gate. I walked all day long after I went to the golden temple. I paid a visit to the flower and bird market which I found way too overcrowded. I walked along an avenue planted with plane trees the Chinese call &#8220;French trees&#8221;, as they were brought by settlers from Indochina after the Sino-French war. Starving, and pretty exhausted by a short night and lots of walking, I started to look for a restaurant. It took me a loooong while to find one. Especially because I got distracted by the Chinese players. Chinese play cards, Mah Jong, some sort of domino, and quite a lot of different games anywhere, anytime.
