\nNight smiles. Les halles, Paris. I was out to see a movie with a friend, but by the time I reach the theatre, all tickets were sold out; my friend was in, and I was out. While cursing myself, I took my new toy out. My wonderful friends, family and mon amoureuse gave me a GX7 for my 30th birthday (ouch, that old already? It feels like it was yesterday I left kindergarten!). This camera is quite the opposite of my heavy and bulky 5Dmark2: it’s small, light, stealthy. Extra bonus, I don’t feel like I threaten passersby with it. When I went by the Dogs, I noticed those guys talking, done with their dinner. I stopped right in front of them, and shot them. They noticed and waved at me. I got to the window to show them the pic I just shot, and the guy shot me back with his phone.<\/p>\n

I started to walk away, but after a couple of meters, I turned back, thinking I should get the picture of them showing me this picture. Franco (that’s the one of the right), saw me returning, went out and started to chat to me. He told me he was in analog photography himself, took my email address to send me my instagram’d portrait.<\/p>\n

While this picture, and this kind of encounters, aren’t precisely what I’m used to, I guess the camera made me a lil’bit more confident. Obviously, the guys were friendly as well, but still. That’s something I wouldn’t have dared years ago. Also, the influence of blogs like Humans of New York<\/a> may have something to do with it.<\/p>\n
